This project delves into the intersection of image manipulation, truth in photography represented by Joan Fontcuberta's works, and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in generating visual content. The primary aim is to get to know the thoughts behind some of Joan Fontcuberta’s work better and also the potential threats posed by image manipulation, particularly their role in fostering misinformation and altering the collective perception of reality. In this project we want to develop a videogame that focuses on this theme. We want to make specific emphasis on the creation of false narratives through the illusion of authenticity. The principal aim of this game is to discover which news are real and which ones are fake. Going through this process, the player gets to know the meaning behind Joan Fontcuberta’s work and therefore the dangers of image manipulation.
